The University of Oklahoma Libraries seeks a Chief Technology Officer and Senior Director of Digital Innovation and Development. This key position leads the technology division in support of the Libraries’ major strategic pillars, vision, and mission. The 20 professionals in this division support complex systems needed to operate the Libraries and collaborate with campus researchers and other institutions on projects. The successful candidate will be committed to building a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace in support of that spirit of collaboration.

The division is responsible for development, application management, networking and security, and infrastructure support of cloud-managed SaaS solutions. Under the strategic leadership of the Chief Technology Officer, the division oversees the development of the institutional repository, digital collections, scholarly publishing platforms, web platforms and services, discovery and research platforms, authentication and access to hundreds of online resources, as well as device management and lending technology. The division is committed to building equitable, inclusive, and accessible platforms and services, and to increasing efficiency and accuracy through the automation of information workflows. The division also supports campus researchers through the Data Analytics, Visualization, and Informatics Syndicate (DAVIS), where units provide consultations that support the researcher lifecycle. The Chief Technology Officer also provides strategic direction to the informatics program, which offers support and consultation for grant-seeking researchers.
