The HR and Administrative Manager provides essential human resources and administrative management to UO Libraries. They will support and facilitate effective communication, high standards of workplace conduct, and interpersonal problem-solving with high levels of confidentiality, sensitivity, and cultural awareness. The position is expected to use diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility frameworks in every part of its responsibilities. The HR and Administrative Manager manages and provides hands-on work for all aspects of human resources operations for UO Libraries, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational enhancement. They will also manage projects for Libraries' strategic initiatives, plan and execute administrative processes, and recommend and implement process improvements. This position regularly exercises independent judgment and develops unit policies and procedures involving personnel and office staffing resources. In addition, they interpret and apply the appropriate policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable entities. They supervise a team of three human resources and administrative support employees. As an administrative division of the Office of the Provost, Libraries will be part of an upcoming transition to a shared services model. Responsibilities for this position will evolve, and it is important that the individual in this role is prepared to support and facilitate this transition and be adaptable to change.
