Research Associate 3 - Library Ambassador Cohort Coordinator (2022-1392)

- Day-to-day communications, mentoring/coaching, of up to 20 staff at MSI Libraries; assessing qualitative and quantitative (e.g., survey’s, interviews) data to determine institution needs and ensuring institutions have the necessary resources (e.g., data training) throughout the program.
- Develop, test, evaluate, and disseminate customized communication messaging, materials, resources, instructional, and informational activities for librarians at MSIs and minority librarian affinity groups.
- Collaborating and advising training teams on the types, development, and delivery of datasets training to library users including other library staff, faculty, students, and campus communities.
- Facilitation of the Request for Proposals (RFP) process to include developing criteria and requirements for MSI grantees, developing, promoting and disseminating funding announcements, and participating in the selection process of grantees.
- Marketing and dissemination of the Library Ambassador training program to “library associated” professional organizations and groups.
- Other tasks as assigned
- Strong experience as an academic health sciences librarian and preferably having attended an MSI or have worked at an MSI academic Library (health science librarian is a requirement).
- Experience in developing specific messaging to promote awareness and usage of datasets.
- Experience in marketing communication messages and leading communication activities (e.g., campaigns at MSIs).
- Skilled at creating culturally appropriate messaging, materials, and instructional and informational activities.
- Experience serving as a representative of an academic program.
- Ability to collaborate and advise on recommended training types and instructs for dataset focused trainings for MSI libraries.
- Ability to mentor/coach/build capacity in peers or equivalents and ensuring needed resources by assessing their needs throughout the program.
- Ability to coach, influence, guide, mentor library staff with diverse abilities, and backgrounds to ensure personal and individual campus cultures are represented and amplified by library staff.
- Ability to coordinate communications, resources, technical assistance, and training across multiple grantees and stakeholders.
- Skills in coordinating and collaborating across teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
- Experience in facilitating proposal process, to include proposal development of criteria and requirements, and the review and selection process.
- Experience in tracking and reporting activity outcomes and metrics and analyzing data from activities to refine activities.
- Experience in working with minority and diverse population groups, in academia settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, writing, and communication skills, including ability to develop and deliver presentations and trainings.
- Ability to work well as an individual and a team member in a fast-paced team environment, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and representatives of federal, public, and non-governmental organizations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
