The Donald C. Harrison Health Sciences Library at the University of Cincinnati Libraries seeks well-qualified candidates for the role of Librarian. Currently enrolled Master of Library/Information Science students will also be considered. This is a temporary position, running through March 31, 2022. The librarian in this position will work closely with the Assistant Dean/Director and the rest of the HSL Faculty to provide services primarily to the College of Nursing and Allied Health faculty, researchers and students as well as other members on the Medical East Campus. 

Characteristic duties include but are not limited to:

  • Teaching information literacy classes and delivering online embedded services to the Colleges of Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy and Allied Health.
  • Collection development
  • Research assistance/ consultations (systematic reviews and literature searches)
  • educational technologies and instruction assistance

Successful candidates will have:

  • 2 years of library experience, with experience in an academic library setting strongly preferred
  • Library instruction or teaching experience, supporting learners both in-person and online via a learning management system such as Canvas or Blackboard
  • Excellent communication skills.

Salary: $25.00 per hour/30 hours per week
