The Dartmouth Library seeks a motivated, creative, learning-centered information professional to join the collaborative Teaching & Learning team. Reporting to the Head of Teaching & Learning, the Learning & Engagement Librarian will maintain, promote, and expand a sustained undergraduate student-centered program of teaching and learning to ensure that all students engage meaningfully with the Library early in their academic careers.

As the Learning & Engagement Librarian, you will:

  • foster partnerships to ensure the Library’s role in student success.
  • coordinate orientation activities for new Dartmouth students.
  • lead the Library’s engagement with first-year writing courses.
  • develop and conduct sessions for faculty and librarians on effective research instruction.
  • communicate Library learning and engagement opportunities to the campus community.
  • join a small and collaborative Teaching & Learning team.
  • work on-site in Hanover, NH at Dartmouth Library.
  • actively engage in professional development funded and supported by the Library.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ALA-accredited master’s degree; demonstrated experience and enthusiasm providing user-centered instruction; excellent communication skills; the ability to work effectively both independently and in teams; effective leadership and project management skills.
