The Library seeks an experienced leader to serve as the Director of the Digital Services Directorate (DSD), responsible for the Library’s digital collections, discovery, and metadata management services. During their tenure, the incumbent will lead a series of transformational changes, including the selection and implementation of a new enterprise discovery, collection management, and metadata management system, and keystone elements of the Library’s new and ambitious Digital Collections Strategy, as well as oversee established and impactful programs such as web archiving, crowdsourcing, collections digitization, and internal analyses, workflow development, and problem-solving. This position works closely and collaboratively with the Library’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to plan, implement, assess, and maintain additional tools and platforms for discovery and management of library resources. One of the fastest-growing areas with the Library Collections & Services Group (LCSG), the Directorate encompasses three divisions: Digital Collections Management & Services, the Integrated Library Systems Program Office, and the Business Analysis Team, together totaling 82 staff and contractors.
