Job Description This position is responsible for building strong relationships and developing partnerships with campus and community stakeholders.  The Assistant Director for Community Partnership works with University Libraries leadership to develop and strengthen relationships that promote University Libraries services with an emphasis on community partnerships. Required Qualifications Experience managing and coordinating engagement activities and library-based programming and outreach to students and community partners.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and knowledgeably, both verbally and in writing. Ability to foster and build relationships with outside partners and entities. Work independently, effectively, and confidentially in a diverse team setting.  Apply analytical skills for decision making and problem solving.  Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Preferred Qualification Master’s degree in relevant field.  Experience with, or articulated interest in, community programming, event planning, or social media marketing. Proficient knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and internet resources.  Ability to actively engage in the library organization, including leadership and participation in teams, task forces, and committees, working professionally in support of colleagues.  Familiarity with the higher education environment and/or academic and research libraries.  Familiarity with social media and web platforms. Job Duties Responsible for establishing, growing, and developing partnerships to create and strengthen University Libraries programs, services, and resources offered to the community.  Identify and develop partnership opportunities to increase awareness of University Libraries programs and services.  Successfully organizes and promotes events and outreach activities spearheaded by University Libraries.  Maintain and report statistics/metrics for evaluation of library engagement programs.  Utilize social media and/or appropriate platforms to promote library events and engage with library users.  Design print and digital collateral for innovative programs and events.
