The Social Sciences and Clark Library
team is located administratively within the Research Division
of the University of Michigan Library in Ann Arbor. We are subject librarians, liaisons, and functional specialists with expertise in the social sciences, government information, maps, GIS, and spatial and numeric data. We partner with programs and departments on campus to enhance teaching, learning, and research activities through impactful access to library collections and services. We offer expertise across all phases of the research lifecycle and we value a collegial and collaborative approach to our work.
Reporting to the Director of the Social Sciences and Clark Library team, you will provide leadership and support for research and instructional activities in psychology, sociology, and related sub-disciplines. You will work in close collaboration with library and campus colleagues to build and provide services, collections, and programs to meet the needs of our faculty and students. You will contribute to the library's consultation services and instructional programming. You have an active knowledge of resources used in social sciences research and teaching, and current and in-depth knowledge of scholarly communication, digital scholarship, and open research practices in the social sciences. Liaison and subject specialist assignments are subject to adjustment at the discretion of the Director of the Social Sciences and Clark Library.
