The Research & Instruction Librarian is based out of the McBay Science library and responsible to the Head of the Research & Instruction Department for assisting students, faculty, and staff in making effective use of library and other internet resources. To achieve this goal, the Research & Instruction Librarian provides in-person and virtual reference assistance in all subjects. The librarian also teaches library instruction sessions and holds one-on-one in-depth consultations in all areas of the sciences with a focus on designated liaison departments. The Research & Instruction Librarian develops instructional resources for students and faculty and trains students and faculty on citation management programs including EndNote. This position also engages in select collection duties in assigned areas. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
