  LIBRARY COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER   Do you have a passion for storytelling? Are you eager to convey meaningful stories about the power of libraries? Are you fascinated by the power of words and images for telling compelling stories? Would you like to bring those skills to an organization that plays a significant role in higher education research and teaching to share its message? The Dartmouth Library seeks an outgoing, service-oriented, and intellectually curious Library Communications Manager who will maximize the visibility and impact of the Library’s contributions to Dartmouth’s mission.   In this position, you will:
  • Work closely with library leadership on communications strategy
  • Prepare key communications with the Dean of Libraries and others
  • Create and curate compelling content across multiple platforms for various audiences
  • Provide editorial oversight for the Library’s communication practices  and messaging
  • Contribute to the Library’s fundraising and development efforts through writing and editorial support
  • Serve as the Library’s media relations contact
  Ideally, you will have:
  • Experience developing and executing an organizational communications and social media strategy
  • Experience in creating, branding, and messaging an organizational identity
  • Ability to transform goals and services into relevant and timely messages for stakeholders
  • Degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field
  This position is a full-time, three-year appointment open to negotiating a hybrid work environment; and requires a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You'll need superior writing, story development, and editorial skills; demonstrated innovative and strategic thinking approaches; the ability to work independently and collaboratively; and a love of working with people in an academic environment.
