Doug Way Appointed Dean of University of Kentucky Libraries

University of Kentucky (UK) has named Doug Way dean of UK Libraries, effective August 1, 2019, pending approval by the UK Board of Trustees. Way currently serves as associate university librarian for collections and research services at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.  He was an ARL Leadership Fellow in 2016–2017.

Way will succeed Terry Birdwhistell, who stepped down May 31, 2017, after leading the UK Libraries for seven years. Deirdre Scaggs has been serving as interim dean of libraries since June 2017.
