Associate Director of Board and Member Relations
Jessica Andrade is the associate director of Board and member relations for ARL. She is responsible for Board of Directors planning and administration, member relations, and working with the executive director in delivering membership value. She organizes and manages meetings, materials, and outreach to the Board and Board committees; supports member engagement in the work of the Association; and contributes to the development of a trusting and inclusive culture that reinforces ARL norms and values, including the Code of Conduct.
Previously, Jessica was the associate director of governance at the American Psychological Association (APA), where she served as the primary staff liaison to the APA Board of Educational Affairs (BEA). She conducted research on issues in psychology and education and training to develop agenda items for the BEA, the APA Board of Directors, and the Council of Representatives. Additionally, she was responsible for tracking initiatives and issues relevant to the work of the BEA and the APA Education Directorate that were ongoing both within APA and the broader psychology education and training community.
Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
