Shawna Taylor joined the ARL team in January 2022 as project manager for open science. In this role she manages the US National Science Foundation and IMLS–funded Realities of Academic Data Sharing initiative. In this capacity, Shawna works with member institutions to conduct research, develop models, and collect costing information for public access to research data across five disciplinary areas.
Prior to joining ARL, Shawna worked at Niagara College as the international and student success librarian, where she coordinated two academic-support programs and provided liaison services. She received her MLIS from The University of British Columbia in 2011 and her MA in philosophy from Brock University in 2010. Shawna is a certified project management professional.
