In recognition of Prue Adler’s many contributions to research libraries, we invite you to a celebration in her honor, to be held on Monday, May 13, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Archivist’s Reception Room in the National Archives, 700 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC. Please RSVP below by Friday, April 26.
Guests should enter the National Archives through the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance, located at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue. A photo ID will need to be provided, and guests will need to go through the security screening process. The Archivist’s Reception Hall is up one flight of stairs—there are elevators for those who need them.
Make a donation to PAW (Partnership for Animal Welfare), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group of volunteers chartered to facilitate the rescue and adoption of homeless domestic animals, mainly dogs and cats, and place them in loving and stable homes. PAW is the organization from which Prue adopted her current fur baby, Flash.

ARL is collecting photos of Prue throughout her career to display during the celebration and present to Prue in an album. If you have photos to contribute, we’d love to include them. Digital photos can be emailed to email@example.com, and print photos can be mailed to the ARL office at the address below.
If you are unable to attend the celebration, you are welcome to send a letter or video tribute for Prue.
