ARL Statistics & Assessment Presentations from ALA Midwinter 2015 Now Online

Slideshows and the accompanying audio from ARL Statistics & Assessment presentations delivered at the American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in Chicago on January 30, 2015, are now freely available on the ARL YouTube channel. The ARL Survey Coordinators and SPEC Liaisons Meeting focused on facilities data and the ARL Library Assessment Forum covered ARL activities, the Library Assessment Conference 2014 and 2016, and the IPEDS Academic Libraries Component. The ARL Survey Coordinators and SPEC Liaisons Meeting featured presentations on “Learning Spaces: Data & Assessment,” by Joan Lippincott of the Coalition for Networked Information (0:00–15:36); “Assessing Library Spaces,” by Bob Fox of the University of Louisville and chair of the ARL Statistics and Assessment Committee  (15:37–36:16); and the “ARL Facilities Inventory,” by Martha Kyrillidou of ARL (36:17–58:38).

The ARL Library Assessment Forum included an “ARL Update: Statistics and Assessment” in the context of ARL’s new strategic Framework, by Martha Kyrillidou (0:00–27:07); a “2014 Library Assessment Conference Review and a Peek at 2016,” by Steve Hiller of the University of Washington and co-chair of the Library Assessment Conference (27:08–49:57); and a discussion of the “IPEDS: Academic Libraries (AL) Component,” by David Larsen and Elizabeth Edwards of the University of Chicago (49:58–1:06:17).
