Evolution of Library Liaisons
ARL is offering a series of webcasts that present the findings from the latest SPEC surveys and allow webcast participants to discuss trends with the survey authors. A 45-minute webcast will follow the publication of each SPEC Kit in 2015.
The fourth webcast in this series will cover the Evolution of Library Liaisons survey (SPEC Kit 349), which explores the changing role of the library liaison and the shifting goals and strategies of liaison programs at ARL member libraries, and the factors that influence these changes on an institutional level.
The Evolution of Library Liaisons webcast will review survey findings reported by ARL member libraries in July 2015. The authors will:
- Explore how liaison roles and services have evolved over the past two decades
- Identify new collaborators, skill sets, and directions for library liaisons
- Discuss best practices for supporting and evaluating liaison programs
The webcast will also include a discussion of promising trends and conclude with a question-and-answer session. Read the freely available executive summary of the survey results in advance and have your questions ready.
