COUNTER (Counting Online Usage of NeTworked Electronic Resources) has appointed Lorraine Estelle as project director, effective summer 2015. She is currently CEO of Jisc Collections and executive director of digital resources at Jisc. At COUNTER, Estelle will succeed Peter Shepherd, who will retire this summer, after 13 years as COUNTER director.
COUNTER is a multi-agency international initiative whose objective is to develop a set of internationally accepted, extendible Codes of Practice that allows the usage of online information products and services to be measured more consistently. ARL is a member of COUNTER.
