Susan E. Parker Named University Librarian at University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia (UBC) has appointed Susan E. Parker as university librarian for a five-year term, beginning September 1, 2017. Parker is currently deputy university librarian at UCLA. She participated in the ARL Leadership Fellows program in 2013–2015.

At UBC, Parker will succeed Ingrid Parent, who stepped down June 30, 2016, after seven years as university librarian. Melody Burton has been serving as interim university librarian since July 1, 2016.
