Open Access Week is an annual event when the academic and research communities worldwide offer their collective voice to call greater attention to the barriers many face in accessing information and to inspire wider participation in making open access a new norm. Open access—free, immediate, online access to the results of research, and the right to use and reuse those results as you need—has powerful and widespread implications for academia, medicine, science, industry, and society as a whole.
The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) is proud to be a part of this global movement—sharing resources that offer tangible solutions to expanding open access for all. The following list includes events, news stories, blog posts, resources, and exhibits from ARL member libraries in celebration of Open Access Week 2022 (October 24–30).
