Kimberley Bugg Appointed CEO and Director of Atlanta University Center Woodruff Library

Kimberley Bugg

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library has named Kimberley Bugg as its next chief executive officer and library director, effective August 5, 2024.

Bugg is currently the AUC Woodruff Library’s associate library director. Previously she was chief of the Researcher & Reference Services Division at the Library of Congress.

She serves as secretary of the HBCU Library Alliance Board of Directors, chair of the American Library Association (ALA) Committee on Research and Statistics, and past chair of the Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) College Libraries Section.

Bugg holds a PhD in library and information science from Simmons College, an MA in interdisciplinary studies from Clayton State University, an MLIS from North Carolina Central University, and a BA in communication and media studies from Georgia State University.

At AUC, Bugg will succeed Loretta Parham, who has led the library since 2005.
