Symposium hosted by Emory University Libraries
The Association of Research Libraries (ARL) is delighted to announce that University of California (UC) Irvine Libraries will host the Kaleidoscope Program 2027 Leadership Symposium.
The ARL Kaleidoscope Program is a two-year commitment designed to strengthen pathways into research libraries and archives and remove barriers for graduate students by supporting their ongoing education, professional development, and relationship building through an intentional exploration of personal identities, career opportunities, institutional operations, and broader issues that shape the values, goals, and missions of research libraries and archives.
The Leadership Symposium explores topics related to the major strategic areas of ARL as well as transitioning into—and building career networks in—research library and archive environments.
“University of California Irvine Libraries are pleased to support the ARL Kaleidoscope Program and to serve as a site host for the upcoming Kaleidoscope Program Leadership Symposium,” said Lorelei Tanji, Endowed University Librarian, UC Irvine Libraries. “This program plays an influential role in supporting graduate students and emerging librarians and archivists. We look forward to hosting a symposium where they can learn and explore issues that will prepare them for their future careers and set them up for success, and where they can network and form what we hope will be long-lasting relationships.”
More information about the Kaleidoscope Program is available on the ARL website.
