Do you need to raise awareness among faculty at your institution regarding how library services can provide them with immediate value and advance their professional goals? Mark your calendar to attend this free panel presentation and workshop, featuring practitioners from both inside and outside the library profession, to be hosted by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) at the American Library Association (ALA) 2017 Annual Conference in Chicago. This event will explore communications methods and tools that ARL library liaisons and their supervisors can use to engage more deeply with faculty.

The techniques covered in this event will help you: better understand faculty members’ individual workflow challenges, develop meaningful professional relationships with faculty, and connect faculty with library services that can save them time and advance their goals. Discover and share ways to engage with faculty on their own terms.

Who should attend?

ARL library liaisons and supervisors who need to add faculty outreach skills to their repertoire will benefit from participating. This event is limited to employees of ARL member libraries.
