ARL Membership Convenes in Minneapolis for Spring 2019 Meeting—Summary, Slides Online

Association of Research Libraries (ARL) member representatives, ARL Leadership Fellows, staff, and guests gathered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 7–9, 2019, for the 174th Association Meeting. The meeting was convened by ARL president Susan Gibbons, the Stephen F. Gates ’68 University Librarian and deputy provost for collections and scholarly communication, Yale University.

Session topics included public and US federal libraries, learning analytics, higher education demographics, changes in scholarly communication, improving cross-cultural relationships, and implicit bias and ethics in technology, especially artificial intelligence. All available presentation slides and other materials, including the Arlies Film Festival videos, are linked from the speakers’ names or session titles in the summary of the meeting.
