There are many reasons to join us for the 2025 ARL President’s Institute, “Ignite Collaboration: Thriving Multigenerational Libraries.”
Here are two reasons from members of the planning task force:
“I am looking forward to the ARL President’s Institute so I can better serve Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff. We just announced our new College of Lifetime Learning and the 2025 Institute comes at a perfect time for us to expand our thinking and keep relevant to the expanded community of learners the new college will bring.”
—Leslie N. Sharp, Dean of Libraries, Georgia Tech
“I’m thrilled to invite you to ‘Ignite Collaboration: Thriving Multigenerational Libraries,’ a thought-provoking conference that will explore the future of multigenerational libraries and workplaces. With engaging keynotes, breakout discussions, and interactive sessions, this event is a chance to deepen our understanding of how to lead in a rapidly evolving world. I’m looking forward to connecting with you and other leaders as we work together to shape the future of our libraries and our communities.”
—Amy Wood, Director of Discovery & Technology,

About the President’s Institute
The President’s Institute seeks to provide opportunities for participation by ARL member institutions and others in our field each year during the start of the ARL presidency. One of the ARL Institutes, this interactive event convenes a broad community of individuals, subject-matter experts, middle managers, senior leaders, and general executives from ARL libraries and beyond on top-of-mind issues facing research libraries. As part of the President’s Institute, the Julia C. Blixrud Scholarship recipient is selected, attends, and writes a report on the institute to be published by ARL.
