Damon Jaggars Named Interim University Librarian at Columbia

Columbia University has appointed Damon Jaggars as interim university librarian, effective January 1, 2015. Jaggars has served as associate university librarian at Columbia since 2008 and was named acting associate vice president for digital programs and technology in 2011. He was an ARL Research Library Leadership Fellow in 2004–2006. Jaggars will serve as interim university librarian while a search is conducted to replace James G. Neal, who will retire on December 31, 2014, after 13 years as university librarian and vice president for information services. Neal will assume the title of university librarian emeritus upon his retirement.
