The Ohio State University has appointed Damon Jaggars as vice provost, director of University Libraries, and professor, effective February 1, 2016, pending approval of the university’s Board of Trustees. Jaggars has served as associate university librarian at Columbia University since 2008 and was named acting associate vice president for digital programs and technology in 2011; he also served as interim university librarian from January through May 2015. Jaggars was an ARL Research Library Leadership Fellow in 2004–2006. At Ohio State, he will succeed Carol Pitts Diedrichs, who will retire January 31, 2016, after six years as director and three as vice provost.
