Kaleidoscope Program Scholars 2024 Selected

2023 Kaleidoscope Program Scholars at
ARL Leadership Symposium Hosted by
University of Michigan, January 2024

The ARL Kaleidoscope Program (KP) Task Force has chosen 18 graduate students to participate in the 2024 KP cohort, based on recommendations from the KP Selection Working Group.

The Kaleidoscope Program is a two-year commitment that aims to prepare IBPOC graduate students for purposeful and consequential careers in research libraries and archives through enriched leadership development and community-building opportunities. Scholars will receive financial support for tuition and professional development, attend virtual educational sessions, the ARL Leadership Symposium, the member institution site visit, participate in a formal mentorship program, peer-mentoring community, and individual coaching.

“Reading through each applicant’s unique journey, it was awe-inspiring and satisfying to know that the future of libraries is in more than capable hands propelling us towards a stronger future,” said Ted Quiballo, instructional technologies librarian at Northwestern University, and member of the KP Selection Working Group. “It gave me pause and reflection to read each of their experiences in their personal and professional lives as well as the support earned by them from their circles of influence. I’m very excited to see what this next cohort will contribute, not only professionally, but also to their community.”
