The ARL Kaleidoscope Program (KP) Task Force has chosen 16 graduate students to participate in the 2025 KP cohort, based on recommendations from the KP Selection Working Group.

The Kaleidoscope Program is a two-year commitment designed to prepare IBPOC graduate students for purposeful and consequential careers in research libraries and archives by focusing on professional development; institutional operations; engagement with new and established peers; and other topics relevant to the values, goals, and missions of research libraries and archives. Kaleidoscope Scholars receive financial support for tuition and professional development, mentoring, and access to educational experiences and signature events.

“I am grateful to have been selected to read through each applicant’s story and aspirations in the library field,” said Inbar Michael, KP Selection Working Group member. “As a recent Kaleidoscope Scholar, I am excited to see what the upcoming cohorts bring to libraries!”

“I was amazed and inspired by the quality of the Kaleidoscope Program Scholars applicant pool,” said Greg Raschke, senior vice provost and director of libraries at NC State University Libraries and KP Selection Working Group member. “The exceptional backgrounds of the applicants and the selected cohort only enhance my optimism for the future of librarianship.”
