2023–2024
Brown University Library
Penn State University Libraries

2025–2026
Indiana University Libraries Bloomington
University of Alberta Library

The Leadership Fellows Program (LFP) is a 13-month hybrid experience that provides the next generation of senior and executive leaders with exceptional opportunities for growth in research libraries and archives.

Joseph S. Meisel, Joukowsky Family University Librarian, Brown University, said, “We’re excited that ARL selected Brown as one of the Leadership Fellows Program’s 2024 visit sites, and greatly looking forward to welcoming this outstanding group of professional colleagues.”

“Penn State University Libraries is stoked to be among the hosts of the 2024 Leadership Fellows Program in partnership with the Association of Research Libraries,” said Faye A. Chadwell, dean of University Libraries and Scholarly Communications, Pennsylvania State University. “Several Penn Staters have participated in this program, so our community is quite familiar with the benefits of the program and pleased to be able to give back to the community by hosting.”

Diane Dallis-Comentale, Ruth Lilly Dean of University Libraries, Indiana University Bloomington, said, “The LFP is a transformative experience for next-gen leaders—it is an honor and privilege for Indiana University Libraries to be able to serve as a 2026 site visit location.”

“The University of Alberta looks forward to hosting another cohort of the Leadership Fellows in Edmonton,” said Dale Askey, vice-provost (Library and Museums) and chief librarian, University of Alberta. “The resonance of the past cohort’s visit is still present, both in terms of the program’s impact here as well as creating a lasting relationship between those who visited but work elsewhere. This is a key program for building leadership culture and cohesion between academic libraries.”
