The University of New Mexico (UNM) has appointed Mark Emmons interim dean of the College of the University Libraries & Learning Sciences, effective January 1, 2021. Emmons joined UNM University Libraries in 1998, becoming full professor in 2012 and associate dean in 2015.

Emmons will serve as interim dean while UNM searches for a successor to Richard Clement, who stepped down as dean on June 30, 2020, and retired from UNM on September 1. Frances C. Wilkinson was interim dean from July 1 through December 31, when she retired.

For more information about this transition, see the January 8 UNM news release, “Emmons Named Interim Dean of ULLS,” and the December 21 UNM University Libraries blog post, “Interim Dean Fran Wilkinson to Retire Dec. 31.”
