Bringing multigenerational voices to the forefront has been a successful endeavor for many. During the 2025 ARL President’s Institute, you will hear from and network with speakers who have successfully leveraged multigenerational opportunities in their respective settings, and take the lessons learned back to your own institution.

Want to understand what your coworkers are saying? Come to “Ignite Collaboration: Thriving Multigenerational Libraries” and learn how the older and the younger generations can “get on the same page.”

The 2025 ARL President’s Institute will explore shared leadership practices, innovative strategies to bridge generational divides, and practical tools to promote cross-mentorship. Register by January 10 to secure your spot and hotel room.

About the President’s Institute

The President’s Institute seeks to provide opportunities for participation by ARL member institutions and others in our field each year during the start of the ARL presidency. One of the ARL Institutes, this interactive event convenes a broad community of individuals, subject-matter experts, middle managers, senior leaders, and general executives from ARL libraries and beyond on top-of-mind issues facing research libraries. As part of the President’s Institute, the Julia C. Blixrud Scholarship recipient is selected, attends, and writes a report on the institute to be published by ARL.
