Robert H. McDonald Appointed Dean of Libraries at University of Colorado Boulder

University of Colorado (CU) Boulder has named Robert H. McDonald as dean of University Libraries, effective August 1, 2018.

McDonald is currently associate dean for research and technology strategies at Indiana University Libraries. Previously, he served as director of strategic data initiatives for the San Diego Supercomputer Center (2007–2008) and as associate director of libraries for technology & research at Florida State University (2002–2007).

At CU Boulder, McDonald will succeed Jim Williams, who retired in June 2017, after 29 years as dean. Leslie Reynolds has been serving as interim dean since July 2017.
