University of North Texas (UNT) has named Sian Brannon interim university librarian and vice provost of UNT Libraries, effective April 1, 2025.
Brannon has held numerous leadership roles since joining UNT in 2010, including assistant dean, associate dean, and senior associate dean (now senior associate university librarian). Before joining UNT, she worked at the Denton Public Library, first as a librarian then as branch and technical services manager. She was an ARL Leadership Fellow in the class of 2023.
The search for UNT’s new university librarian and vice provost for libraries is expected to commence in spring 2025.
