The University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) has reappointed Steve Smith (04LFP Fellow) to another five-year term as dean of libraries.
Steve will complete his 15th year as dean at the end of the 2025–26 academic year. Prior to joining UTK, he served as an associate dean at Texas A&M University Libraries for a decade.
He served on the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) Board of Directors 2015–18 and is an alum of the ARL Leadership Fellows Program (LFP) class of 2004.
Steve earned his DArts in English language and literature from Texas A&M. He earned his master of librarianship and MA & BA in English language and literature from the University of South Carolina.
