U Connecticut Appoints Martha Bedard Vice Provost for Libraries

Martha Bedard has been named vice provost for University of Connecticut (UConn) Libraries, effective October 14, 2013. Bedard is currently dean of university libraries at the University of New Mexico. At UConn she will succeed Brinley Franklin, who stepped down as vice provost for university libraries this summer. Franklin will conduct a library cost study for UConn in FY 2014 and will retire from the university on July 1, 2014.
