Did you know that the contributions of libraries and museums are already called for in sustainable development? It is only with a much greater awareness of the facets of sustainable development and the discovery of our ability to take part—individually and collectively—that we can realize our impact.
Experience an immersive one-day workshop-style experience presented by the ARL Learning Network: Embracing Sustainability—Libraries Leading the Way.
Henry McGhie, founder of Curating Tomorrow, will present the Blixrud Memorial Keynote Lecture on demystifying the profound concept of sustainable development and revealing its potential to create a better world for all. He will also facilitate two interactive workshops during the institute to give participants a deeper understanding of sustainable development challenges, opportunities, and priorities, and to develop a plan of action to build a more sustainable future. McGhie says, “There’s a role for all of us to play—every library, every librarian, everywhere.” Watch this brief video invitation to attend from McGhie:

About the ARL President’s Institute
The annual ARL President’s Institute explores content driven by the president of the Association of Research Libraries. The institute rotates among the geographic regions of the Association to provide greater opportunities for participation by member institutions and others in our field without requiring extensive travel. The President’s Institute is the evolution of the event previously known as the Fall Forum.
