On March 22, 2022, ARL joined ACE and 20 other higher education associations in asking Congress to invest in federal STEM education programs, scientific research, research infrastructure, and innovation programs in a final conference bill. The letter also describes concerns about research security provisions in both bills, and asks Congress to ensure that the final bill would not preclude higher education institutions from global collaboration.
