open to communications staff in ARL libraries
ARL is creating a Communications Working Group that will provide advice and counsel for ARL’s member-facing communications strategy. Specifically, the working group will help advise us on: performing periodic health checks on current offerings; developing and maintaining editorial policies for ARL member-facing communications; and the development of new offerings in order to communicate effectively about ARL’s strategic priorities and programmatic activities.
The working group will be composed of three members of the ARL Program Strategy Committee and three or four communications professionals working in ARL member libraries. The director, Member Communications, is the ARL staff lead to the working group.
Working group members will serve two-year terms beginning January 2026. The working group will meet virtually twice a year and can be expected to consult occasionally throughout the year on document review.
