Mark your calendars for the upcoming Library Assessment Conference: Building Effective, Sustainable, Practical Assessment, to be held in Seattle, Washington, August 4–6, 2014. Sponsored by ARL and the University of Washington Libraries, the conference aims to build and further a vibrant library assessment community by bringing together interested practitioners and researchers who have responsibility or interest in the broad field of library assessment. A record number—254—of proposals for papers, posters, lightning talks, and panels were submitted this year; the peer-review process is underway and notification will go out by mid-March. Conference registration will open in April.
