The University of Saskatchewan has named Charlene Sorensen interim dean of the University Library, effective February 16, 2016. Sorensen has served in a variety of roles at the University of Saskatchewan Library since 2006, most recently as associate dean. She will serve as interim dean while the university conducts a search to replace Vicki Williamson, who will go on administrative leave when her contract extension ends March 31, 2016, after 10 years as library dean. During her yearlong leave, Williamson will be based in Australia and working for the University of Saskatchewan to define and develop a role as the university’s regional ambassador with a focus on Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
