Last week, at the conclusion of a nationwide search, the University of North Texas (UNT) selected Sian Brannon as its university librarian (UL) and vice provost. Sian has served as the interim UL since April 2025. She succeeds Diane Bruxvoort, who retired this spring after serving as dean of UNT Libraries for seven years.
Sian is active in the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), currently serving on the Member Engagement and Outreach Committee and the Intensive Learning Program Task Force. She was an ARL Leadership Fellow in the class of 2023.
