ARL will host a Library Assessment Forum at the upcoming American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta–Midtown, 590 West Peachtree St NW, from 1:00 p.m.–2:30 p.m.

The meeting will feature presentations on activities from members of the assessment community:

  • Kenning Arlitsch from Montana State University will discuss RAMP (Repository Analytics and Metrics Portal), a prototype that measures file downloads from institutional repositories. Slides (PDF)
  • Eileen Theodore-Shusta from Ohio University will share the results of assessments of several programs: rewarding staff for professional engagement and career progression. Slides (PDF)

ARL Assessment Team members will also provide brief updates on the Association’s suite of services and engage with participants in a discussion about its upcoming visioning process.

The Library Assessment Forum features the latest happenings in the areas of assessment and brings people together in between the biennial Library Assessment Conference: Building Effective, Sustainable, Practical Assessment. The goal is to foster continual learning in a community that is deeply committed to improving libraries and documenting their contributions to institutional success. The forum is open to all who are interested and no registration is necessary to attend.
