Practice Brief: University of Texas at Austin
The University of Texas (UT) at Austin Libraries conducted a study to examine the impact of library collections on the recruitment and retention of faculty to the university, and to understand the relationship between institutional resources—especially libraries—and career decision-making of faculty. The practice brief describes the team’s literature review and the data gathered through an online survey and one-on-one semi-structured interviews with newly recruited and newly promoted faculty members.
