The Dartmouth College Library is recruiting for a collaborative, energetic, and outgoing STEM librarian to join the talented team of Research & Learning librarians and staff serving the physical science departments of the College (Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Physics & Astronomy), as well as the Thayer School of Engineering, the Tuck School of Business, and the Department of Economics. With specific responsibility for selected departments in the physical sciences, this individual will provide research consultations and instructional services, manage collections, and support scientific research and publishing workflows for students (undergraduate and graduate), faculty, postdocs, and others.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other STEM librarians, with colleagues in the Library’s growing Research Data Services program, and with colleagues in other areas of the college The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking, flexible, outcomes-focused, and responsive to faculty and student needs. They will contribute to existing services while helping to identify and develop new opportunities and collaborations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • ALA-accredited degree in library and/or information science, or a combination of an advanced subject or professional degree combined with experience.
  • Two years of relevant postgraduate experience.
