James Hilton Wins EDUCAUSE Leadership Award for 2015

Yesterday EDUCAUSE presented James Hilton with the 2015 Leadership Award at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Hilton is university librarian, dean of libraries, and vice provost for digital education and innovation at the University of Michigan and was a key member of the Association of Research Libraries Strategic Thinking and Design Working Group in 2014. He is being recognized by EDUCAUSE for “visionary leadership in large-scale digital preservation initiatives; for being a leading voice in the national dialogue regarding the intersection of technology, scholarly information, and research; for bringing a persuasive and unwavering spirit of collaboration and innovation to the challenges facing higher education.”

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association and a community of information technology leaders and professionals committed to advancing higher education. EDUCAUSE is also the partner of the Association of Research Libraries in sponsoring the Coalition for Networked Information.
