Jeffrey MacKie-Mason Named University Librarian at UC Berkeley

The University of California (UC), Berkeley, has appointed Jeffrey MacKie-Mason as university librarian, effective in October 2015. MacKie-Mason is currently dean of the University of Michigan School of Information. At UC Berkeley, he will succeed Tom Leonard, who retired June 29, 2015, after 15 years as university librarian. Associate university librarians Beth Dupuis and Erik Mitchell are co-directing the library during the interim period.
