Jaymey Butler

Jaymey Butler leads the planning, programming, and execution of all ARL events, including our flagships—the semiannual Association Meetings, the annual ARL President’s Institute, the biennial Library Assessment Conference, and the triennial IDEAL Conference.

Jaymey has worked in the social-good space for over 25 years in a variety of leadership and event development roles. In 2018 Jaymey began Eventology Consulting, an event-management company based in San Francisco whose clients have included The ALS Association, United Way, The Children’s Heart Foundation, Apple, HP, and Boston Scientific. Prior to starting her business, Jaymey served as leader of conference services at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, director of training and operations for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and director of meetings and training for the American Cancer Society of California. Jaymey also has an extensive background in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and volunteer training and development.

In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, Jaymey also holds the certified meeting professional (CMP) credential from the Events Industry Council.
