Jaymey Butler joined ARL in November 2021 as the associate director, Events, and was promoted to Director, Events, as of January 1, 2023. Jaymey coordinates and manages ARL’s flagship events, including the semiannual Association Meetings, the annual Fall Forum, the biennial Library Assessment Conference, and the IDEAL Conference.
Jaymey has worked in the social-good space for more than 25 years in a variety of leadership and event development roles. Since 2018, Jaymey has operated Eventology Consulting, an event-management company based in the San Francisco area whose clients have included The ALS Association, United Way, Apple, HP, and Boston Scientific. Prior to starting her business, Jaymey served as leader of conference services at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, director of training and operations for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and director of meetings and training for the American Cancer Society of California. Jaymey also has an extensive background in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and volunteer training and development.
In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, Jaymey also holds the certified meeting professional (CMP) credential from the Events Industry Council.
